![]() ![]() I can make exact copies of the CD's with my printer, so looking good doesn't mean much. this is a 5 year old game after all and like I said, I was really lucky to find this not too far from here.quote> How does it come usually, as a sticker maybe? The game literally had dust on it when the guy finally found it, and it took 2 employees to differenciate between "Sim City" and just "The Sims" and another to finally find it 10 minutes later. It cost $19.99 and the title on the front is "Sim City 4 Deluxe Edition" I even registered the product, so technically whats wrong with using a differerent serial just to get it installed if my purchase was missing one? It sounds like the one I bought had the serial swiped from it somehow. the cds look real and it came with all authethentic appearance all around, and even had a valid registration number. Originally posted by: dogma555 I dont think its an illegal copy. I was reluctant to take it, but hey my son wanted to play, and I legally do own the game. Luckily, I did a google search and it seems like quite a few people got games without serials and someone was kind enough to post a serial. The access code was only a few digits, while the serial they are looking for is 20 digits. It came in a case that looked like a console case, and there were two discs just plopped on top of one another in a spindel, sort of like when you buy blank cds. Last resort, go back to the store and get your money back then go find a legitimate store and get it there.quote> Do they look at all like they might be burnt? Does the lable appear real or like a copy/stick on label etc? You might want to take a very close look at the disks themselves. What was the disk in? A carboard sleeve? a paper sleeve? Jewel Case? It wouldn't have shipped from EA with no holder of any kind. ![]() ![]() second though is that you didn't actually register that with EA. Otherwise, you must buy a new SimCity 4 game.Originally posted by: Dalton My first though is that the access code is the serial number. Maybe they can "convert" the game to the Origin version. If you have lost your product code or user manual, or it's unreadable, it's recommend to contact a game advisor. If still not there, please contact support: See this list here: Ĭan you check your "Order History", if the game is listed there? Also, close any other applications that are running in background and are unnecessary at the moment. Change settings to lowest.ĭisable or uninstall any security software. Temporary disable the User Access Control (UAC). Run the Origin application as Administrator (right click on the shortcut on your Desktop and choose "Run As Administrator" option).Ĭlear cache from Origin. Restart both your computer and router / modem. Delete any filters in your game library.Ĭheck your internet connection, use a wired internet connection. If a game doesn't appear in your game library, then mostly you're using the wrong EA / Origin account. This might not work, due the game is older then Origin. Try to redeem the product code in Origin, if not already done. You need the Origin application, download the newest version from: and then install it. Please return to the store and get your money back. If you brought the game second / multiple hand, or got as a gift, then the product code is already used. This is caused due Windows 10 is blocking and not longer supporting the disc copy protection technology included many game discs. Applications from the SimCity 4 game can crash or give some other problems while playing. If you brought the game as discs and using Windows 10, then the game will maybe not install or not start. You will find SimCity 4 in your game library. You can find the product code on backside from user manual, you brought the game via Origin, then you don't need to a product code, due the game is linked at your EA / Origin account.
